winter wardrobe

I've actually been sewing, believe it or not!  I have a few things to share, but because of my work schedule/daylight and Seb being a....not super competent photographer, things have taken a while to be documented.

In the last couple of weeks I've been going through my closet, making a pile to take to the second hand, and figuring out where the gaps are.  I've made a couple of new warm winter tops, and I think they will come in handy.  I can throw away that grey jersey long sleeve with the tattered cuffs!  The hardest to part with are the things I've made.  Because I'm impatient, have changed size, or just plain don't like them that much any more, I have a bunch of clothes in my closet that I never ever wear, but just can't part with because I made them and that seems terrible!  I'm not sure what to do with them, maybe I'll post them here and see if anyone wants them?  I feel like handmade deserves a better second life than smelling like mold.

Anyways, this light denim top is simple, warm, and comfortable.

    1. I couldn't sell them - I'm way to terrified of imperfection. But I'll give them away! I already had a very fruitful skype with Sophie.

    1. oooo, that would be super cool! I'm trying to think of a way to share what's in my swap out pile. A lot of it has been on here, but some hasn't. Anything you had in mind?

Also: if you have a smaller waist than me (24-25ish), I have a couple of dresses that I have no idea what to do with because even before a big meal there is no way they are comfortable.

    1. That sounds amazing! Anything you had in mind? Or ideas how one does a trade, really...

    2. Oh my goodness! I'm not sure! I'm just a blog lurker and a big fan of all of your designs! I'd be happy to make you a red cloth bound journal with sketch pages and some snarky letterpress valentines for whatever you might want to part with?

    3. Oh my god that sounds amazing, especially since I was just thinking about how I need a new day planner for going back to school, but the usual format/look is just so unappealing and makes me feel like my days aren't special at all. Maybe that would do the trick? Although I can't imagine putting a grocery list in something so pretty as a cloth bound journal....
I'm going to make up a photo grid of clothes up for grab this weekend, and then you can choose away at your hearts content!

  4. Thanks! I actually went totally overboard and bought twice as much fabric as I ended up needing. I was thinking about making a second and putting it on etsy...I have all sorts of etsy ideas for the very near future!
