Like other things I love, I've had a hard time letting go and admitting that my trusty old HBC bag was not so trusty - the straps had been sewn back together, there were rust holes in the bottom, and my knitting needles would often poke through the thin fabric. So I found a way to not get rid of it, but using it as the lining for a new bag! I loved the size, so just made an identical bag in a new striped blue fabric I've had for ages, added a couple pockets on the inside, and added a green ribbon strip to one strap so that I can always tell which side my phone is on (something I always wish other bags had). Ah, perfect time to get a new summer tote ready for picnics!
