This weekend Seb was busy studying for exams, and in an effort of solidarity (haha, like I wouldn't have done it anyways), I stayed home and sewed a dress all weekend.
I love that in making things for myself I can make them exactly how I want. My problem with dresses with fitted busts is that they are almost all too long in the body for me. But I can shorten that! And take things in in different places, or add bust padding.
This was my first time sewing boning or doing any sort of structured lining. It took time, but wasn't so hard. Definitely worth it, because this dress holds itself up like a charm. A perfect use for my liberty dark side of the moon fabric, the last liberty in my stash.
