completely scattered

Lately I've been busy, but nothing worth documenting.
-We moved, then didn't have internet for two weeks
-I finished knitting Seb's neon scarf (I'll try to get a picture of him in it sometime) and started knitting matching mittens for me
-We joined the local CSA and are thoroughly enjoying eating our weight in local produce (seriously, we ordered the 'family size' and still burn through it easily)
-I've been using our awesome new kitchen to cook more.  We've been eating homemade granola, hummus, salsa, cookies, and  banana bread (all gluten and dairy free of course).  I'm trying to see just how much I can make from scratch, because it just tastes a lot better, and is generally cheaper.  Next: tofu!
-My plants are actually growing, now that the squirrels aren't taking daily dirt baths in them.

It's finally cooling down, and I find myself wanting to make things again.  I've picked up my crochet blanket again, and I think I'll finish it this winter.

I dunno, I've been thinking about the future a lot.  It's strange knowing you'll probably move to another country in less than a year.  I'm trying to figure out what to do with my life, career-wise.  Unsurprisingly, not having internet made me do all sorts of things I don't normally fit into my day, like read and cook and think.  It was a nice little holiday, but I'm glad to have netflix back :)

    2. ooo, that sounds like my kind of yarn! not that i'm anywhere close to being a good enough knitter to get past anything basic, but i'd like to try it - and feel like at least part of my work is pretty! :) i can splurge if it's just the one project, right? (how many times have we all said that? haha.)
