remaking a vintage dress

One of the other things I've been working on the last couple weeks I think is super awesome, and it was really fun to do.  This lovely local boyfriend (a friend of my boss) asked me to remake his girlfriends' favourite dress for her birthday, because she had stained the original.  I made the pattern, he picked out the new fabric, and voila! A new improved version of her beloved dress.  Isn't that the sweetest gift idea you've ever heard?

Sorry to just leave it on a hanger, but it has such a teeny tiny waist it won't even fit over my dress form shoulders!

  2. That is so sweet! It looks lovely. It's such a good idea in general, since vintage dresses can be a bit tricky with the fit.
